Building - Michael Kedvesh, Chair This is a standing committee required by the Covenants. The Committee regulates the exterior design, appearance, use, location and maintenance of the community, in such a manner as to preserve and enhance values, to maintain a harmonious relationship among structures and the natural vegetation and topography, and to provide for the proper functioning of the storm drainage system for our community.
Springmill Ponds is recognized for maintaining the quality of the community. As a member of the community, it is important to consider the Covenants when making significant changes to the exterior of your home or lot. The Covenants are in place to protect all of our home values and specifically to maintain a harmonious relationship with surrounding properties.
Please be considerate of your neighbors when making any of the following changes to your home:
- Fences (no chain link, consider wood pickets and wrought iron)
- Landscaping – significant changes in front or back (easements exist on your property and the committee can help guide with what can/can not be done on those easements)
- Additions – buildings, decks, arbors, porches, driveways, sidewalks, antennae, etc.
- Permanent additions not connected to the building – sports goals, pools, pet enclosures, etc.
- House color changes
- Windows, siding or roof replacement
When planning a change, please submit the following information for the Committee’s review: Written description of the change you plan to make If possible, scaled drawings of your plan, copy of Surveyors Plan from closing, marked to show changes Specific measurements, materials, layout and design Planned timeframe for work to be completed
As a reminder, written approval from the Building Control Committee must be obtained before construction can begin. Please submit your plans to smp@springmillponds.com. You can expect the Committee to follow these steps in reviewing your information: Within 2 calendar days of receipt, contact you to acknowledge receipt of the request and explain the review process Inform your immediate neighbors of the request Within 15 calendar days of receipt, after reviewing your information and the pertinent Covenants, provide a written decision to you

Landscape - Andy Martin, Chair This committee oversees the landscaping, mowing, weed control, and pest control of the common areas. It is responsible for algae control, pest control and general clean up of the ponds. It is responsible for maintaining the well, irrigation system and lighting at the main entrance. It is responsible for contracting snow removal and trash removal.
Snow Plowing - streets only (not individual driveways) when the snow depth is 2 inches or more; salting at entrances only
Social - Jennifer Alcantara, Chair This committee schedules fun activities throughout the year for adults and children. See monthly newsletters for dates and times of social events.
Pool - Monica Reece, Chair This committee oversees the maintenance of and rules regarding the pool, tennis courts, deck, playground and the Pool Management Company. This committee maintains a schedule of events at the pool. Fishing rules and pool regulations follow. Requests for use of pool and/or deck for private functions should be submitted to the committee chair for approval.
Crime Watch - Open, Chair
Welcome - Lisa Martin, Chair Springmill Ponds neighborhood now has a Welcome Committee. We will visit any new homeowner to welcome them and give them information about our neighborhood.
